Before technology and electronic media made communication so easy, the concept of handwritten letters prevailed strongly. Writing letters to your loved ones was a craze in itself. The red letter box on every road was the most crowded stop for people to send/receive letters. Letters brought wide smiles and heavy tears all at the same time. They say humans are the most emotional mortals and letter witnessed it all with tears dropping and blurring the words on it. The schools never had apps then to put an online leave application. Kids would write and re-write to ensure the letter is correctly written to be given to the teacher in a white envelope.
For some strange reasons, envelop made me really enthusiastic to know what is inside. I would be more interested in the packaging of the letter than the letter itself. The days went in waiting patiently for the “Chithiwala” to ring the doorbell.
Letters were the beautiful medium to say things directly dropping from heart to paper and if the letter came with a flower or any little surprise, it was a cherry on the cake!
In times of today when every word is easily “texted” and removed later, there’s a deep void of emotions. The feelings are as short-lived as the memory of the phone, once it falls and you won’t ever retrieve back the lost memory. Bringing the old lost tradition back, I, Letteringhearts.com welcome you all my mates to be a part of me and write with me to build relations and bond in permanence!
Yours Lovingly,
Letteringhearts!
